New CEO for Hastings

Long-time executive Andrew Day, who has extensive private equity experience, is replacing outgoing chief executive Steve Boulton following his retirement in March.

Andrew Day has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) of infrastructure investor Hastings Funds Management, according to a statement.

Hastings, manager of the Australian Infrastructure Fund (AIX), said Day will begin his tenure as chief executive on Monday, October 17.

Hastings in its statement called Day an “experienced chief executive” with a background in “stakeholder management”.

Hastings pointed out Jeff Pollock would remain chief executive of AIX.

Day is replacing Steve Boulton, whose retirement Infrastructure Investor reported in March. Alan Freer had stepped in as interim chief executive for Boulton as Hastings sought a replacement.

Day has served as chief executive of Eircom Holdings, which managed a telecommunications business in Ireland and a directory business in Israel.

He had also worked as chief executive of Truvo, a private equity firm.
