A new initiative seeking to fast-track renewable investments in emerging markets by seeking capital from investors with different risk-return will launch at next month's United Nations climate conference in Paris.Â
The Climate Investor One facility is hoping to raise $1 billion by the end of next year, combining commitments from donor governments with institutional and private equity investments to fund projects from beginning to end.Â
Climate Investor One is a partnership between Dutch development bank FMO and South African-based Phoenix InfraWorks.
