Pantheon appoints partner amid end-of-year promotions

Since the beginning of last year, the London-based private equity firm has promoted two senior staff to partners and hired two vice-presidents.

London-based Pantheon has promoted its chief financial officer, Robin Bailey, to partner to replace Robert Amis, who retired in December.

Paul Ward, managing partner of the infrastructure and private equity investment firm, noted Bailey’s “considerable commitment” to Pantheon as a reason for his promotion. Pantheon also announced 14 other promotions at the principal level and in its operations, client services, global marketing, and legal and competitive teams.

Bailey has served as Pantheon’s CFO since 2010, helping raise the firm’s assets under management to $34.2 billion as of 30 June, 2016. He previously worked at early-stage venture capital investor Ipex Capital and at Deloitte’s corporate finance advisory unit.

Pantheon also made 12-year Evan Corley a partner in the company and hired two new vice-presidents, Dinesh Ramasamy and Samayita Das, last year.

The firm held a $1 billion close in March 2015 on its latest dedicated infrastructure platform.

In October 2015, Pantheon joined SL Capital Partner and two pension funds to buy a stake in a Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management infrastructure vehicle sold by BAE Systems Pension Fund.

New York-listed Affiliated Managers Group, alongside senior members of the Pantheon team, owns Pantheon.
