A start-up consulting firm set up to offer investment expertise in infrastructure has made a senior level hire.
Real Asset Portfolio Management (RAPM) named Brent Burnett senior consultant. Company managing partner Steve Gruber said Burnett is heading the energy and infrastructure business for RAPM.
Gruber pointed out Burnett also has an extensive real estate background. The Portland, Oregon company is specialised in offering global real estate, energy and infrastructure portfolio management and advice to the institutional investor market, Gruber said.
Prior to joining RAPM, Burnett was an Associate at R.V. Kuhns & Associates, advising on asset allocation, investment policy formulation and manager selection and monitoring. He has also worked as an associate for Trammell Crow Company and FLAG Capital Management.
From 2005 to 2011, RAPM founder Gruber was a manager of and member in ORG Portfolio Management. He also was a real estate portfolio manager for the Oregon Public Employees’ Retirement Fund (OPERF) from 1998 to 2005.
Gruber said his company was not planning on hiring additional senior personnel. He noted more staff could be brought onboard if there is an increase in business.
A newly established, 10-person operation, RAPM is a consultant to $655 million in capital spread over six clients.
