State Universities Retirement System of Illinois committed $100 million to a BlackRock infrastructure fund, according to an October 2020 press release.

BlackRock’s Global Renewable Power Fund III, targeting $2.5 billion, focuses on renewable power generation, energy storage and distribution.

The investment falls in line with SURS’ mission to address ESG issues.
