Two unlisted fund of funds/ co-investment held final closes in the first quarter of 2015, collecting a total of $1.1 billion. On the other hand, seven funds with similar strategies collected $1.1 billion in 2014 and $516 million and $493 million were raised in Q2 and Q4 2014 respectively. Capital raised for fund of funds/ co-investment in Q1 2015 alone reached the same level as the capital raised in 2014.
Recently, Golding Capital Partners’ infrastructure fund of funds, Golding Infrastructure SICAV VII, has closed on €590 million, suppressing its target of €400 million, while Legal & General UK Regeneration Fund, the largest fund in market as at Q1 2015, is still on the road to hit the £15 billion target.Â
