IFM Investors has appointed Joe Tremblay and Dan Kim as business development directors in North America.Â
The duo will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing significant relationships for all asset classes including infrastructure, debt investments, listed equities and private capital. They will report to Brian Clarke, global head of investor relations.Â
Tremblay was previously the director of marketing at Talara Capital Management, a New York-based firm focusing on private equity in the energy sector. Prior to that, he was a director at Alternative Access Capital and a senior associate at New Stream Capital. He will be based in New York in his new role.Â
With nearly 20 years of experience, Kim was until recently an associate partner at New York-listed Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting’s global private equity and infrastructure group. In a statement, IFM stressed Kim’s consultancy experience in the real asset space, particularly regarding infrastructure and infrastructure debt. He will be based in Chicago.Â
These appointments come on top of recent additions to the firm’s investor relations unit. Earlier this June, the team appointed Brian Clarke as global head of investor relations from his prior position as executive director for global investor relations in North America, which he had held since joining IFM in 2011.Â
IFM had $52 billion under management as of 30 June 2016, with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, New York, London, Berlin and Tokyo.
