Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois has approved $475 million-worth of infrastructure commitments across three vehicles, a contact at the pension informed Infrastructure Investor.
The commitments comprise $200 million to Macquarie Infrastructure Partners V, $250 million to Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners IV and a $25 million top-up commitment to Taurus Mining Finance Fund II. Illinois Teachers’ previously committed $100 million to the fund in June 2019.
The $52.92 billion pension invests in infrastructure out of its 15.3 percent real assets portfolio.
