NYSCRF approves $650m in commitments

The US public pension has backed three infrastructure funds.

New York State Common Retirement System confirmed $650 million-worth of infrastructure commitments to three vehicles in its December 2020 monthly investment disclosure report.

The commitments comprise of $350 million to ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund III, $200 million to Grain Communications Opportunity Fund III and $100 million to Excelsior Renewable Energy Investment Fund I.

The $216.3 billion US public pension has 1 percent allocation to infrastructure.

As illustrated below, the pension fund’s recent commitments are to funds focused on the transport, renewables, utility, energy and telecommunication sectors within the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America regions.
