AIIB commits $150m to an India Infrastructure Fund

The China-led multilateral financial institution invests to foster the infrastructure market development in India.

Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) approves a $150 million equity investment to a $750 million India-focused fund to facilitate the infrastructure development in India and enhance the private capital inflow from investors.

In addition, AIIB approves $114 million and $60 million to Georgia Batumi Bypass Road Project and the Tajikistan Nurek Hydropower Rehabilitation Project Phase I respectively.
