Capita Symonds with key infra appointment

The civil engineering and infrastructure consultancy group has snapped up Archie Robertson, formerly chief executive at the Highways Agency. Robertson was involved in Capita Symonds’ recent Crossrail bid.

Capita Symonds has strengthened its infrastructure business with the appointment of Archie Robertson as non-executive director.

Archie Robertson:
infrastructure focus

Robertson was previously chief executive of the UK Highways Agency, procuring authority of the £6.2 billion (€7 billion; $10 billion) M25 PFI which reached financial close after securing £925 million of bank debt last month. He was also involved in Capita Symonds’ recent unsuccessful bid for the Crossrail project delivery partner contract.

Capita Symonds said Robertson is now set to develop the firm’s programme management business on large scale infrastructure projects worldwide.
