Capital Dynamics raises $1.2bn

The $15 billion Swiss asset management firm held the final close for its latest renewable infrastructure fund.

Capital Dynamics has held the final close of its Clean Energy and Infrastructure VII JV (CEI VII) with the $1.2 billion capital commitment.

CEI VII, the successor fund to CEI V which was also closed at $1.2 billion, will follow the similar strategy of CEI V to invest in utility-scale renewable generation assets in the US.

The major committed investors of the CEI VII include APG, California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) and one of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority’s wholly-owned subsidiaries.
