Church Pension Fund approves $40m commitment

The US public pension has backed a European infrastructure debt fund.

The Church Pension Group announced a commitment of $40 million to New Energy Capital Infrastructure Credit Fund II, which is managed by New Energy Capital.

As illustrated in the charts below, the $13.30 billion US public pension has a 2.8 percent current allocation to infrastructure. This is the pension’s first infrastructure fund commitment in 2019.
