Colin Pollock has joined London-based corporate finance firm DC Advisory as an executive director in its European infrastructure team.
Pollock, who becomes the tenth infrastructure specialist at DC Advisory, was previously a director in the power, utilities and infrastructure team within the investment banking division of Barclays, the UK bank.
Pollock will work alongside executive director Neale Marvin and will report to managing director Sergio Ronga. Ronga joined from Macquarie to head up the newly launched infrastructure advisory team in March 2012.
A statement said Pollock’s experience includes notable renewable energy transactions such as the initial public offerings of Enel Green Power, the Rome-based multinational, and Greencoat UK Wind, the UK wind farm investment firm.
The statement added that DC Advisory has completed 25 deals so far this year including: the refinancing of ESP Pipelines; fund manager First State’s acquisition of the HeHe ferry route from Scandilines and Stena; and the subsequent refinancing of Scandilines.
With 200 staff overall and six European offices, DC Advisory is a subsidiary of Daiwa Capital Markets, the investment banking arm of Japan’s Daiwa Securities Group.
