EQT Infrastructure head Lennart Blecher has been appointed deputy managing partner of EQT Holdings, the Stockholm, Sweden-headquartered private capital manager said.
Created in June, EQT Holdings aims to aggregate operations, fund administration and general partner investments going forward under a single umbrella. The holding company is part of EQT's corporate re-alignment, which saw it decide last year to bring all European funds established as of 2012 onshore.
With his appointment Blecher, a partner with EQT, joins head of EQT Mid-Market Jan Stahlberg as deputy managing partner of EQT Holdings. Conni Jonsson is managing partner.
Blecher joined EQT in 2007 to start EQT Infrastructure “and has successfully built the team,” EQT said. The company went on to cite his “genuine industrial experience” and “deep knowledge” of infrastructure.
EQT Infrastructure closed its second fund, EQT Infrastructure II, on €1.9 billion (£1.6 billion; $2.5 billion) in January.
