Indiana PRS commits $300m to real assets

The US public pension approves commitments to three real asset funds.

The Indiana Public Retirement System has approved $300 million-worth of infrastructure commitments, according to the pension fund’s recent board meeting minutes.

The commitments comprise $100 million apiece to Bain Capital Real Estate Fund II, KKR Diversified Core Infrastructure Fund and Digital Colony II.

As illustrated below, the $44.04 billion US public pension currently allocates 10 percent of its investment portfolio to real assets. Alternative investments constitute 19.9 percent of the institution’s entire portfolio.
