Infra maven Schwenck hired at Foley & Lardner

Charles Schwenck, an attorney with a 30-year track record advising on infrastructure, has joined LA law firm Foley & Lardner to work as a partner in its energy practice.

A lawyer highly touted for his veteran expertise in energy infrastructure has joined Foley & Lardner, the law firm said Wednesday.

Newly minted partner Charles Schwenck will work in the Foley energy and infrastructure practice, the firm said.

California native Schwenck will be based in Los Angeles. The firm said his hiring will bolster its infrastructure practice.

Schwenck has a 30-year background as an attorney dealing in energy and infrastructure, and is prized as an adviser skilled in compliance, project financing and regulation. He has testified before US Congress as an expert witness on engineering, construction and electric power. Schwenck is also known as an expert on alternative energy.

Prior to signing on with Foley, Schwenck co-chaired the energy and natural resource practice for Greenberg Traurig LLP. He has also worked for LG&E Power as general counsel.
