Louisiana State Police commits $5m

The $882m US public pension invests in Carlyle's global infrastructure fund.

The Louisiana State Police Retirement System (LSPRS) allocated $5 million in a commitment to Carlyle Global Infrastructure Opportunity Fund. This investment, part of a slight rebalancing initiative away from US midcap and smallcap equities, will be made out of the pension fund’s private equity allocation, as LSPRS does not have a defined allocation to infrastructure.

The $882 million US public pension has a 12.6 percent allocation to alternative investments. Platinum subscribers may click here for LSPRS’ full profile, including key contacts, allocation strategy and fund investments.
