NEA adds partner to tech team

Vladimir Jacimovic, former managing director and founding partner of Crosslink Capital, has joined the veteran venture capital firm.

New Enterprise Associates (NEA), the Virginia-based venture giant, has announced the hire of Vladimir Jacimovic as partner in the firm’s technology practice.

Jacimovic, who officially joined NEA January 1, is based in the firm’s Menlo Park, California office, and focuses on software and services.

Most recently, he was at San Francisco-based Crosslink Capital, where was a managing and founding partner after the management buyout from Robertson Stephens Investment Management. Previously, Jacimovic was a consultant with McKinsey and Company.

In January, NEA also announced that Brooke Seawell joined as venture partner, previously having spent the past five years with Technology Crossover Ventures focusing on software and semiconductor companies.

NEA, founded in 1978, maintains offices in Reston, Virginia; Menlo Park, California; and Baltimore, Maryland. With approximately $6 billion under management, the firm is currently investing out of its 11th fund, which closed on $1.1 billion in February 2004.
