New hire for Altius infra team

Reyno Norval (pictured), a former energy investment executive in the US and UK, has joined the London office of the private equity advisory and funds of funds manager. He becomes part of the global infrastructure and real assets operation headed by Brad Young.

Altius Associates (Altius), the London-based private equity advisory and funds of funds business, has recruited Reyno Norval to its global infrastructure and real assets team headed by Brad Young.

Norval was previously at Florida-based Green Gas Americas, where he originated and developed principal investments in landfill gas-to-energy within the US and Latin America. He specialised in equity investments, acquisitions and project financing, and structured deals for the monetisation of carbon credits.

Prior to Green Gas, Norval was a commercial analyst at EDF Energy in the UK where his role included financial valuations identifying the key financial risks associated with investments, project due diligence and making investment recommendations. He also dealt with complex contractual relationships, focusing on legal, technical and commercial issues.

“Client demand has expanded our business in the real assets space significantly in the past two years and there is a sharp focus on  infrastructure, particularly in Europe,” said Brad Young in a statement from Altius. “We look forward to welcoming Reyno to help support and develop our coverage in these markets.”

Altius advises and manages over $17 billion in private equity and real assets funds for clients in Europe, North America and Australia. It has offices in London, Richmond (Virginia) and Singapore.
