Nossaman has expanded its infrastructure practice as well as its corporate compliance unit with the addition of Edward Fishman, who joins the firm’s Washington DC office as partner.
Previously a partner at K&L Gates, Fishman has extensive experience working on infrastructure projects in the transport and logistics sector, providing project structuring, risk management and regulatory advice in connection with rail, highway and intermodal projects.
He also has substantial experience advising international clients on matters related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, trade sanctions and other US laws relevant to business activities outside the US.
“Ed’s experience with FCPA and internal investigations is an important addition for the Public Policy Group at Nossman, and fits nicely with our plan for growth here in the Washington DC office,” Fred Dombo, chair of Nossaman’s public policy practice group and a member of the executive committee, said in a statement.
Based in Los Angeles with an additional seven offices throughout the US, Nossaman’s history dates back to 1942. Its infrastructure practice group advises on some of the most critical transportation projects in the US, including Maryland’s Purple Line light rail project, Florida’s I-4 Ultimate highway project and Los Angeles’ LAX airport modernisation project. In addition to the transportation sector, Nossaman also advises on water/wastewater projects and social infrastructure, such as the University of California, Merced’s 2020 campus expansion project.
