NYSCRF confirms $550m in commitments

The US public pension has backed a pair of infrastructure vehicles in its latest round of commitments.

New York State Common Retirement Fund has confirmed $550 million-worth of commitments to infrastructure vehicles, according to the pension’s March 2020 investment disclosure report.

NYSCRF’s commitments comprise of $400 million to Blackstone Tactical Opportunities Fund III and $150 million to ITE Management’s open-ended Rail Fund.

The $225.90 billion US public pension’s infrastructure allocation lies within its 8.60 real estate portfolio.

As illustrated below, NYSCRF’s five most recent infrastructure commitments have been to four unlisted equity vehicles and one co-investment vehicle, the majority of which have had a diversified sector focus.
