Pilsburry Abu Dhabi site opened

Office will help expand Middle East profile and let Pillsbury better service its existing client base.

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has expanded its Middle East practice with an office in Abu Dhabi, the law firm said.

The firm, specializing in energy and infrastructure, said its latest location will help its profile in the Middle East, as well as provide greater latitude in servicing its client base in the region.

Pillsbury is advising Emirates Nuclear Energy Corp. (ENRC) on a $20 billion nuclear power plant project. The firm also is a representative to Qatar Petroleum, a liquefied natural gas specialist, in the UK and US.

The firm went on to note David Cinnamon relocated from Washington, D.C., in order to head its Abu Dhabi operation. Cynamonm called Abu Dhabi, capital of United Arab Emirates (UAE), a “critical crossroad”.

Pillsbury characterized its business in the Middle East as “steadily expanding,” and characterized Abu Dhabi as a “strategic” location in energy.
