The Korean life insurance company has paused meetings with overseas fund managers during the pandemic.

Institution: Samsung Life Insurance
Headquarters: Seoul, South Korea
AUM: KRW$255.46trn

Over the next 12 months, Samsung Life Insurance will continue its plan to invest across four to five infrastructure funds, though overall investment activity will slow due to Covid-19, a source at the insurance company informed Infrastructure Investor. This is partly due to the company having paused meetings with fund managers as a result of the pandemic. The proposed amounts for each of the fund commitments will remain unchanged.

As illustrated below, the KRW$255.46 trillion ($207.6 billion; €191.6 billion) Korean insurer has a 2.7 percent current allocation to infrastructure.
