Scotiabank further expands platform

The Toronto-based bank has added two people to its New York global infrastructure finance team.

Scotiabank has announced two appointments to its Global Infrastructure Finance group, the latest in the bank’s “ongoing strategic expansion of its global infrastructure advisory and debt platform,” it said in a statement.

Vikrant Prakash has been named director in the bank’s Global Infrastructure Finance group while Jesse Taylor has been appointed as associate in the group. Both will be based in New York, according to the statement.

The two appointments come just weeks after a couple of hires by the Canadian bank to boost its infrastructure finance team – it brought in Alexandre du Pasquier as an associate at its London infrastructure finance team from French bank BNP Paribas. In April, it recruited Rocio Lozano as an associate director in the same team du Pasquier has joined.

Prakash joins from Scotiabank’s Toronto office where he led execution efforts for North American infrastructure, power and utilities.

Taylor joins from the Houston office where he was a member of the US energy, oil and gas team.
