FCC will build and operate the new Torrejón de Ardoz Hospital for the regional government of Madrid over a 30-year concession period. FCC’s investment in the project is set to total €139 million, with construction of the new facility expected to be completed within 18 months.

Upon completion the new facility, located on a 62,396 m2 plot of land, will serve around 133,000 people in the districts of Ajalvir, Daganzo de Arriba, Fresno del Torote, Ribatejada and Torrejón.

Earlier this year FCC was part of a consortium that reached financial close on a £300 million (€346 million; $492 million) hospital PPP project in Northern Ireland.
