Strathclyde Pension Fund has committed £50 million ($67 million, €57.1 million) to Equitix’s Fund V, a £750 million ($994.2 million, €858.6 million) infrastructure that focuses on a variety of infrastructure assets in Europe and the UK.
Apart from Equitix’s Fund V, the pension fund has also invested £50 million ($67 million, €57.1 million) in Greencoat Solar II, a solar-dedicated investment fund that owns and operates UK Solar PV generation assets.
Additionally, the pension fund has earmarked another £500 million ($670.3 million, €571.9 million) to JP Morgan’s open-ended Infrastructure Investment Fund. The commitment is a part of the pension fund’s strategy to diversify its infrastructure portfolio and increase its non-UK exposure.
