TRS commits additional $100m to Blackstone Infrastructure Partners

The US public pension makes additional commitment to Blackstone's open-ended infrastructure fund.

Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) has agreed to commit an additional $100 million to Blackstone Infrastructure Partners, a contact at the pension informed Infrastructure Investor. This is a follow-on investment for TRS, with its total commitments to Blackstone’s open-ended infrastructure fund now totalling $350 million. The fund focuses on diversified unlisted equity investments in the United States.

The $153.13 billion US public pension has a 5.0 percent target allocation to infrastructure that currently stands at 5.30 percent.
