While the $1.2 trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework signed into law in the US last month provides plenty of funding for more traditional forms of infrastructure, there’s also $65 billion reserved for ensuring every American can have access to high-speed internet.

Ajit Pai is partner at Searchlight Capital Partners, which focuses its infrastructure efforts on digital infrastructure. He is also the former chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. In this episode, he tells us how the $65 billion will be spent, the lessons he learned at the FCC and what opportunities there will be for the private sector in this roll-out.
